A religious body of Church Leaders and Ministers Fellowship of Nigeria has condemned in strong term, the choice of candidate of the same faith for the positions of president and vice president in the forthcoming general election.

The group made this known while addressing a press conference held today at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ilorin, during the flag off of a 3-day flag the Annual Fellowship Conference of the religious body.

The chairman of the christian body, Pastor Abel Aiyedogbon, in his address, said the idea of a Muslim Muslim ticket lack consideration for others, saying balancing the scale will offer a sense of belonging to all.

He added that politician should not think that Christians in the North have no electoral value, saying who whoever ignores Christian population will be doing that to her own peril.

Aiyedogbon also called on the government to address the protracted strike embarked upon by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The chairman further berated government for not finding a permanent solution to the prevalent of rates of Kidnapping, terrorism and Banditry that is threatening the continuos existence of this country.
