…..takes campaign to Iponrin, Apado, Marafa-Oja

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Ilorin East and South Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr) Abdulganiyu Saka-Cook Olododo has been named the ‘Atunluse of Apado land’ by the Alapado of Apado land, Oba Titus Zuberu Ajibola.
The development came, when Olododo, who is the incumbent member representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on National Planning paid homage to the traditional ruler before proceeding to the venue of his re-election campaign rally in Apado ward.
The monarch said with several projects and empowerments the people of Apado has benefited, it is befitting to name him as the Atunluse of Apado land.
“We thank you for all you do, while we still hope that you will be re-elected to do even more for us,” the monarch said.
The lawmaker’s campaign train, on Monday also reached Marafa-Pepele where he donated a power generating set to a central mosque and Iponrin wards in Ilorin East local governments.
Olododo equally commissioned a solar powered motorized borehole facilitated by him to Olomoyoyo in Iponrin ward of Ilorin East local government.
During his visit to the Alagua of Marafa Oja, Mallam Mukaila Adebayo, the traditional leader also attested to the unprecedented achievements of Olododo.
He noted that “In Osin district, no House of Representatives member has done what Hon. Cook-Olododo has given to us, there is no ward here without his positive impacts; from provision of portable water, road construction, empowerment, power supply and employment facilitation among others.
Speaking at the rally, Olododo said “When you compare my experience and track record of delivery of quality and masses oriented representation in public offices, none of my contenders ranks close to me.
“Don’t let anyone deceive you, we have seen that the best they can offer is bring you untold hardship, vote for me and all SDP candidates and you will start feeling what good governance and representation is all about, across board.
“Within three years and half, you can see what we have been able to do. I understand there is much more to do, when you re-elect me, I will continue to hit the ground running to ensure we cover even more grounds”, he added.
In his remarks, the Kwara Central Senatorial candidate of SDP, Dr. Ridwanulahi Apaokagi said “What Olododo has done would be adequately complemented if SDP is elected across board, nothing that the electorates should reject the political party that brought untold hardship associated with fuel scarcity and cash crunch in the economy.
For his part, House of Assembly candidate for Ilorin East Constituency, Teslim Yusuf also appealed to the people not to vote incompetent candidates but elect SDP’s as the only available credible alternative for Kwarans.
Beneficiaries of Olododo’s empowerment, elders and young people who joined the mammoth crowd at the campaign rallies also took turn to hail the lawmaker’s performance and declared their support for him and the SDP in the 25th February elections.
