Magistrate Muhammed Ibrahim of the Kwara State Magistrate Court has remanded the medical practitioner of Kaima General Hospital, Doctor Abas Adio Adeyemi, in Oke Kura Custodian centre for allegedly killing several persons.
Police investigation revealed that Doctor Adeyemi killed one Nafisat Halidu, a casual worker at the hospital, concealed her body in a waste-bin kept in his store and poured concrete cement on her in order to cover her up the act.
One Olanipekun Ifeoluwa Ibukun was also killed by the doctor and her body dumped in the bush at Alapa Asa local government Area of the state.
Our correspondent reports that Doctor Adeyemi confessed to have sedated one Abubakar, a Fulani boy before handing him over to his syndicate and till date Abubakar was not found.
Adeyemi confessed further that he was instrumental to the death of a young lady whom he buried in a shallow grave in his office which he covered with tiles to avoid suspicion.
During discreet investigation, it was revealed that Doctor Adeyemi and his accomplice killed one Abdul Azeez Saliu after luring and borrowed the sum of fifteen Million naira (N15,000,000:00) from him.
Magistrate Ibrahim who presided over the matter, ordered the Doctor’s remanded till March 24, 2023 after considering the submissions of the prosecutor, Nasir Yusuf.
