The Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrasaq Abdulrahman has urged the members of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) to shun disunity and remain one in order to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Kwara State Hon. Oyekunle Gbenga Power has organised an inter-denominational prayer session in honour of Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrasaq Abdulrahman.

Gbenga Power while speaking at the prayer session held in Igbaja, Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state said the purpose of the prayer is to seek guidance from Almighty God to continue to bless the governor with more wisdom in piloting the affairs of the state.

He stressed that some unscrupulous elements fueling the ambers of disunity in Igbaja have been silenced by the the dictates of the law saying normalcy and unity have returned to the party in the area.

Represented by Moshood Alaka, during the prayer organised by the APC chieftain, Gbenga Oyekunle Power, in Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the State.

Alaka, while speaking with our Correspondent Kayode Adeoti, said the party members particularly in Igbaja must sustain the unity they have all fought for and achieved during the last election.

The APC Chairman for Ifepodun Local Government Area AbdulLateef Quadri, however described Gbenga Power as a foundational member of the party who contributed immensely to the victory of the party in the last general election.

Cleric who led that prayers at the event are Reverend Adelokun Ezekiel Adebayo CAN Chairman Igbaja and
Alhaji Saka Yusuf who represented the Chief Imam of Igbaja, Sheikh Yusuf Akorede.

Highlights of the event is the opening of a new secretariat donated to the party by Hon Power.

This was echoed by the Governor’s representative, Moshood Alaka, during the prayer organised by the APC chieftain, Gbenga Oyekunle Power, in Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the State.
