The Medical and Health Workers Union Kwara State Chapter including national union of allied health practitioner has issued a 7 day notice to the state overnment to meet its demands or face an indefinite strike.

The union gave the gave the strike notice in a statement signed by the Acting Chairman Coalition of Health Workers Union Isaac Bolatito and secretary of the union Abdullahi Sodiq, and a copy made available to Sobi FM.

He said the notice is due to the non implementation of the payment of the 100 percent CONHESS and hazard allowance already being enjoyed by Doctors and Nurses working in same hospital.

He said members of the union can not continue to work without enjoying same benefits enjoyed by other health sector workers, saying the style of favouring one particular set of workers and neglecting others in the same sector can no longer be entertained.

The statement revealed that members of the union will embark on a seven days protest rally beginning from Monday 28th August to further press for it’s demands at all the state and local government facilities.

The health sectors are right they should embark on the strick because is like they won’t to cheet them. Before Dr Record 1st, then Dr to LAB to Dr back then to pharmacy before nurse and that’s even if they have injection if it’s only drugs patient well not have to see any nurse so why will government favor them with out other health sectors? That’s too bad
