The Newly appointed Kwara State Commissioner for Environment, Mallam Shehu Ndanusa Usman has charged the State’s ACReSAL Implementation Project Team on an improved performance for a better service delivery.
The Commissioner gave this charge during his unscheduled visit to the ACReSAL’s Office in Ilorin as part of his on-going familiarization tour of the Agencies and Project Offices under his Ministry.
Communication Officer Kwara ACReSAL Okanlawon Taiwo, in a statement quoted the commissioner that his visit is to acquaint with the team on strengths and weaknesses of the project with a view to find a viable ways for effective delivery of the project for the good people of the State.
He said one of the his mandate as the State Commissioner for Environment was to ensure timely delivery of the proposed work plan of the project coming to limelight in the state, as this will enhance the rapid development of the project in the state.
Mallam Usman said that having being part of the Steering Committee of the project before been appointed as the commissioner, his interest is to also ensure the realization of the aims and objectives of the project in the State.
He further urged the project State Implementation Unit Team (SPIU) to live up to expectations by ensuring that the project is of more benefit to the public rather than individual, as well as being supportive and well coordinated for the sustainability of the project in the state.
In her own remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajia Ibrahim appreciated the team for the warm welcome and the hospitality received during the visit.
Responding, the Acting Project Coordinator, Alhaji Aregbe while appreciating the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary for the visit, assured them of good and effective communication line for a meaningful way forward for the project.
