……as ASA stakeholders drum support for Hon. Rukayat Shittu ahead rerun election

Speaker Kwara state house of assembly Honorable Yakubu Danaldi Salihu, has highlighted the significance of peace and unity in fostering a thriving democracy.
The speaker made this known in his office while playing host to stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in ASA Local Government led by political icon, Alhaji Issah Amasa.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the voices of the people are heard without any hindrance.
The Speaker reaffirmed the commitment of the government to prioritize peace and unity in ASA Local Government, stressing that these principles are essential for the development and progress of the local government, as well as the overall well-being of its residents.
“Democracy thrives when we uphold the values of peace and unity,” Speaker Salihu stated. “It is our duty as representatives of the people to create an environment where everyone’s voice is heard and respected. We must work together to overcome any challenges and build a prosperous future for ASA Local Government.”
Earlier in his remark, Alhaji Issah Amasa said the visit underscores the significance of political alliances and the determination of party members to rally behind the chosen candidate, Honorable Rukayat Shittu member representing Owode Onire constituency.
Also speaking Engr Musa Yeketi reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to member representing Owode/Onire constituency ahead of the upcoming rerun election as demanded by the state and national election tribunal sitting in the state.
He commended the leadership of the 10th Kwara Assembly led by Speaker RT Hon Engr Salihu Yakubu Danladi for making laws that will benefit the people of the state.
On his part APC Chairman Asa LG , Alh Shehu Yahaya said “as the rerun election approaches, I want to let everyone know that peaceful conduct will play a pivotal role in shaping the political landscape of Owode/Onire Constituency”.
The House Leader, Hon Oba Abdulkadir Magaji in his goodwill message advised the stakeholders to continue with their support for Kwara Governor and make sure they deliver Rukayat Shittu at the rerun.
The delegation, consists of Engr Musa Yeketi, former commissioner for Agriculture, Hon Lateef Alakawa, APC Chairman Asa LG; Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, Elder statesman Alhaji Issah Afon, APC Women Leader Asa LG, influential members and leaders within ASA APC conveyed their unreserved support for Hon Rukayat Shittu.
