The Kwara Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Umar Mohammed, has embarked on a comprehensive working visit to 20 divisional offices in the state.

disclosed this in a statement made available to Sobi FM on thursday

The statement said the tour was a strategic initiative rooted in the necessity to gain first-hand insight into operational activities adding that it was also to help assess personnel performance and ensure effective execution of NSCDC statutory functions.

“The Commandant has already visited numerous divisions, including Afon, Headquarters of Asa LGA, Alapa, Akerebiata, Pake, Tanke, Ilorin West, Oke Oyi, Lafiaji, Patigi and Banni in Kaima LGA.

“Also, Gwanara in Baruten LGA, Kaiama, Ilofa, Araromi Opin, Edidi, Obbo Ile, Omu-Aran, Owu-Isin, Share, Offa, and Ayedun,” the PRO said.

He disclosed that the Commandant planned to extend his visit to all area commands and divisional offices in the state.

“This is aimed at demonstrating a commitment of thorough engagement and oversight.

“The Commandant commended the officers and men across divisions, for their unwavering dedication to safeguarding lives, properties, critical national assets, and infrastructure.

“He urged the Corps to uphold the core values of NSCDC, and emphasised on integrity and respect for human rights,” Shola said.
