A former aide to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State, Hon. Musbahudeen Esinrogunjo has described the Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq led-administration as a “Failed Government” for giving cold shoulder to calls demanding for local Government election in the State in the last for years.
He added that the People’s Democratic Party will not cease to scrutinize the ruling party as it has always been doing if the administration fails to fulfill the promises it made during electioneering campaigns.
Esinrogunjo stated this in while featuring on Sobi FM flagship program ‘Oro Ilu’, earlier this morning.
The former Special Assistant on Grassroot Mobilisation charged the Abdulrahman led-administration to conduct local government election across the State and build a greener climate that enables people welfarism to thrive.
He also condemned the administration for stripping the people of their fundamental human right to freedom of expression by means of intimidation and detention and its failure to abide by the principles of democracy.
He condemned the incumbent government for lavishing a huge sum of N17.8b on the rehabilitation of Kwara State Hotel in order to meet international standards while the masses wallow in anguish for lacking access to social amenities to help them preserve their lives.
Eshirogunjo, thereafter, enjoined Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq to channel the state resources into projects that meet the needs of the people of Kwara State and not the other way round.
