Azerbaijan Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev, has reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s dedication to doubling its renewable energy capacity.
He spoke during a panel session titled “A Decade for the Energy Transition” at the ongoing 10th Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue.
Valiyev while highlighting Azerbaijan’s commitment to global energy transformation efforts, he said the country is working towards tripling the world’s installed renewable energy generation capacity and double the global average annual rate of energy efficiency improvements by 2030.
“Hosting COP 29, reflects Azerbaijan’s steadfast commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives and accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy future.
“The nation’s proactive stance aligns with international efforts to combat climate change and achieve ambitious clean energy goals,” he said.
Valiyev’s emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve renewable energy targets and foster sustainable development worldwide.
