The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for actualizing the dream of establishing a University Teaching Hospital in the state.

Governor AbdulRazaq signed the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital Law, 2024, on May 30, 2024, at the Government House, Ilorin.

Professor Jimoh praised the Governor’s commitment to this project, highlighting it as a testament to impactful leadership focused on addressing the needs of the people.

He emphasized that the new teaching hospital would not only train exceptional medical personnel but also significantly enhance access to quality healthcare for the state’s residents.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor expressed KWASU’s appreciation and reiterated the university’s commitment to supporting the Governor’s administration in its developmental agenda.

Similarly, the Governing Council of KWASU congratulated the Governor on the enactment of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital Law, 2024.

In a statement by its Chairman, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali, the Council noted that the timely establishment of the teaching hospital would enable KWASU to produce top-notch medical professionals, thereby contributing to the state’s human capital development.

The Council also congratulated Governor AbdulRazaq on the fifth anniversary of his administration, expressing optimism that the coming years would see the consolidation of his vision across all sectors.

The Council, in its statement, emphasized that the establishment of the teaching hospital marks a significant milestone in the state’s healthcare and educational sectors, reinforcing the Governor’s commitment to sustainable development and excellence.
