A former Kwara State governorship aspirant, Sunday Adebayo Babalola, has called on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to use the next three years of his administration on initiating policies and projects that will have a direct impact on the lives of the people of Kwara State.
Speaking on the occasion of Nigeria’s 25 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, Babalola emphasized the importance of leaving a lasting legacy through meaningful and impactful development projects.
“Governor AbdulRazaq should utilize the remainder of his tenure to plan and execute policies that the people will remember long after he has left office.
“The essence of governance is to serve the people and ensure their welfare. Governor AbdulRazaq has the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of Kwarans by prioritizing projects that matter most to them,” Babalola said.
He highlighted the necessity of creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, noting that economic growth is pivotal for the overall development of the state.
“The government must ensure that businesses are given the support they need to succeed. This includes improving infrastructure, providing incentives, and fostering a conducive business environment,” he stated.
Engr Babalola also stressed the importance of focusing on the agricultural sector, which he believes is critical for boosting the state’s economy.
“Agriculture holds the key to economic stability and growth in Kwara. By improving this sector, we can create jobs, ensure food security, and generate revenue for the state,” he added.
Reflecting on the nation’s democratic journey, Babalola expressed optimism for a better future despite the current challenges. He urged the people of Kwara State to remain hopeful and resilient in the face of hardships.
“There is hope for a better future for all Kwarans. We must not be frustrated or despondent over the current challenges and hardships facing our nation. Perseverance and collective effort will see us through,” he encouraged.
