Two additional pilgrims from Kwara State, Salman Muhammad Alade and Ayishat Shuaib Ologele, have tragically lost their lives while on pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrims were among the thousands of Nigerians who traveled to the holy land to perform the hajj pilgrimage.

It was gathered, Ayishat Shuaib Ologele fell ill while traveling from Medina to Mecca, and despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his illness.

The second pilgrim, Salman Muhammad Alade, also fell ill in Mecca and passed away shortly after.

While the exact causes of their deaths have not been officially confirmed, it is believed they died of natural causes.

Meanwhile the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board, has commiserated with the family of two pilgrims who lost their lives

In a WhatsApp message to our reporter by the Executive Secretary Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir sent profound condolences to their families, asking Allah to grant them comfort and forgive the deceased.

Two other pilgrims Saliu Mohammed, who arrived with Batch 3 of the state contingent, and Hawawu Mohammed has died in Madinah.
