The Kwara South Development Forum has announced plans to hold its maiden summit with a call for unity among the people of Kwara South.
Speaking at a press conference in Ilorin, the Chairman of the Forum, Sir (Dr.) Chief J.B Ayeni, emphasized that the summit aims to unite the people of Kwara South and promote prosperity in the region.
He said the summit is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including community leaders, business figures, and professionals, all committed to fostering unity and driving progress in Kwara South.
According to him “The theme of the summit is ‘Kwara South Unity and Prosperity’,” Ayeni stated.
“We have invited notable personalities and like minds from within and outside Kwara State to share their knowledge and experience with us.”
Ayeni stressed that the Forum’s interest extends beyond politics and political gains, focusing instead on the development of Kwara South.
“Our goal is to work towards the holistic development of Kwara South,” he said.
The chairman appealed to the press to help sensitize the public about the summit and the Forum’s vision. “We rely on you to help us succeed,” Ayeni added.
He stated that the summit will take place on June 27, 2024, at the Offa Descendants’ Union Secretariat, Offa, with a call on all stakeholders to participate actively.
