The Afon Constituency chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in ASA Local Government Area of Kwara state has expressed its heartfelt condolences to former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, following the demise of his mother, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki.
The PDP leader in Afon Constituency Alhaji Saadudeen Ajelanwa in statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin conveyed the shock and sorrow felt by the party members over the death of Chief Florence Saraki.
Describing her passing as the exit of a faithful figure who had a significant positive impact in various human endeavours, Ajelanwa highlighted the profound sense of loss experienced by the community.
Joining Ajelanwa in mourning were ASA PDP Chairman, Alhaji Abdulraheem Oreduni, former lawmaker Hon. Isiaka Mogaji, former council chairmen Alhaji Isiaka Labaika, Alhaja Risikat Opakunle, Alhaja Kehinde Baale Alaye, and other notable party leaders from the Afon Constituency.
The entire constituency extended their condolences to PDP leader and Wazirin Geri of Ilorin, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, their siblings, the Saraki family, and PDP members nationwide.
They urged all to find solace in the belief that God alone gives life and has the power to take it back.
In their message, they thanked Allah for the exemplary life led by Chief Florence Morenike Saraki, acknowledging her role in raising distinguished national lawmakers.
The PDP leaders from ASA also offered prayers for the repose of her soul and that of her late husband, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki.
