Residents of Alagbado Layout Community in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State have expressed relief following the return of two transformers that were removed from the area last week.
The transformers a 300KVA unit provided by the Ilorin South Local Government and a 500KVA unit donated by the senator representing Kwara Central, Mallam Salihu Mustapha were restored to their original locations, though details regarding their return remain unclear.

A visit to the area this morning by Sobi FM confirmed the development.
It would be recalled that the transformers were earlier removed on the orders of the Ilorin South Local Government Chairman, Hon. Nuhu Podo a move that sparked controversy.
The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Kwara Region, had condemned the removal, stating that the unauthorized dismantling of electrical installations is illegal and punishable under the law.
