The Senator Representing Kwara North in the National assembly Pharmacist Sadiq Umar has once again reiterated the need to establish millitary formations in Kaiama and Baruten LGA’s to curtail activities of bandits.
Senator Umar was speaking with Sobi FM Dare Akogun in Gwanara , Baruten local area of the state said the activities of criminal elements in the area have prevented the people from going to their farms a situation he said is greatly affecting their means of livelihood.
He said the thick forest that cut across from Borgu in Niger state and Kaiama and Baruten local government areas in Kwara State have been taken over by the criminals where they carry out their nefarious activities.
Senator Sadiq however appealed to the federal government to save the people in the area by establishing a Forward Operation Base of the Nigerian Army in the area to tackle this issue headlong before it degenerates into something bigger.
