The Kwara State Football Association has confirmed that it has received provisional approval from the League Management Company, LMC, to readmit fans back to the Stadium in Ilorin for Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, matches following series of appeals.
A statement from the association spokesman Bolaji Lawal on Saturday said the LMC granted the approval starting with tomorrow’s match between Nasarawa United with a view to understudy the situation and will not hesitate to rescind its decision if crowd control measures are not adequate.
it urged fans to come to the stadium , purchase tickets and conduct themselves in appropriate manner before, during and after the match, while adding that any breach of law and order laid down by the LMC will result to further sanctions on Kwara United.
It would be recalled that Kwara United were fined by LMC and ordered to play behind closed doors following crowd violence that emanated from their home clash against Rivers United on Match Day 26 of the NPFL.
