The Wali of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Usman Mustapha, has emerged one of the recipients of the year 2022 Award Presentation by Centre for Ilorin Studies, University of Ilorin in honour of his immense contribution of his state and Nigeria at large.
Speaking at the Public Presentation of her 5th Book of Readings and Awards ceremony held today at the Banquet Hall, Opposite Government House, Ilorin the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem describe the award as a historical event.
Speaking on behalf of the family in an interview with Sobi FM Correspondent Toyin Saheed, one of the sons of Wali of Ilorin, Alhaji AbdulGaniy Mustapha, who came led the large members of the described the award as a monomental honour.
Other awardees, Engineer Mohammed Kamila Dauda and Alhaji Idris Amosa Saidu, expressed their happiness, saying the honour will spur them to contribute more the development of their state and Nigeria at large.
Other awardees are Mrs Olufolake Abdulrasaq, Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN, Saliu Mustapha, Late Justice Abdulkodir Orire, Hajia Maimunat Oloriegbe, among others.
