Ward Chairmen, Somen Leaders and Youth Leaders of the 17 Ward of All Progressive Congress APC in Moro Local Government has thrown its weight behind the party Chairman Alh. Adebayo Jimoh. It would be recalled that Alhaji Jimoh was accused of alleged diversion of money meant for logistics of delegates during the last All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Kwara State.Leading other 16 members of APC executives in Moro local government, the public relations officer, Alh Adebayo Saka announced the suspension of Jimoh while speaking with newsmen today in Ilorin, the state capital.The group said the decision to suspend the chairman was taken after a meeting of the APC executives in the local government on Friday adding that the suspention was in accordance with Article 21 sub section (D1F) of the APC’s constitution.Saka and his team also accused the suspended chairman of alleged anti- party Activities, which they say can affect the chances of APC in the 2023 general elections.Speaking on behalf of the chairmen the chairman of chairmen Alhaji Jimoh Tunde, said the purported suspension of the party chairman Alh. Bayo Jimoh by some aggrieved individuals among the local executive of party is unlawful and can not stand the test of time.He said there are laid down rules and regulations according to the APC statutes before an executive member can be suspended, saying the actions of the aggrieved executive members is null and void.The ward chairmen however urged members of the public to disregard the purported suspension saying Alh. Bayo Jimoh remains the authentic Chairman of APC in Moro LGA.Alhaji Adebayo Jimoh while also reacting to the allegations against him deescribed it as baseless and no atom of truth in it.According to him “How can a reasonable APC members from Moro local government accuse me of anti-party activity when I am very loyal to state Chairman prince Sunday Fagbemi, Gov.AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, APC stakeholders in Moro LGA and all the emerged APC Candidate in Moro local government and Kwara generally.”This disgruntled elements are group of people that are trying to form a faction and cause crises in the party in Moro, ” he said.He however urged them to support the progressive minded politicians in the LGA instead of being use by some individuals in the party because of their own selfish interest.In Her own speech Mrs Iyabo Jimoh Moro local government Woman leader who spoke on behalf of all the17 ward women Leaders said the suspension game is being championed by three Executive Members.The APC Moro Youth Leader Alhaji Saliu Azeez also affirmed the support of all the ward youth leaders to Alhaji Adebayo Jimoh , adding that the youths are behind him and I support of his continued stay in Office.
