The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON), has proposed the development of special ballots to stem vote buying that is fast becoming a scourge in our electoral system.
A statement by the Special Assistant (Broadcast) to the former Vice President AbdulRasheed Shehu, says he made the call while holding a meeting in Abuja today with a joint team of International Republican Institute and National Democratic Institute (NDI).
The led by Mr. Frank LaRose, the Secretary of the State of Ohio, USA quoted Atiku of having a valuable discussions with the delegates bordering on the mutual benefits of strengthening democracy, integrity of the electoral system and especially protecting the rule of law among other issues.
