The Balogun Fulani of Ilorin, Alh. Abubakar Atiku Fulani has commended the senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe’s foresightedness and untiring efforts in using his privileged positions as a medical practitioner for the optimum benefit of his constituency.
He gave the commendations at the donations of multi millionaire medical equipments to the Balogun Fulani Health Centre by the office of the senator representing Kwara Central, saying the district have never had it so good in terms of representation at the National Assembly.
He said If he has the sole responsibility of nominating who will represent Kwara Central at the National Assembly, nothing would stop Oloriegbe’s re-election because he is doing what is expected of him as legislator.
Speaking earlier in his remark Oloriegbe represented by his media aide, Bolaji Aladie, stressed the importance of the equipment in healthcare delivery noting that the healthcare givers no matter how sound and brilliant they are, cannot perform any magic to save a patient’s life except they have the required tools that will enhance their service.
He said the apparent gap especially at the primary health care level is what he is trying to bridge with the modest interventions, saying that it is hoped that the management would make judicious use of the items to serve the constituents patronising this facility.
In her reaction, the officer-in-charge of the facility, Mrs Alabi Hafsat Titilayo lauded the Senator’s gesture which she explained to suit their immediate need whilst assuring that the items would be effectively deployed to serve the community.
