Another prominent member of All Progressive Congress APC in Kwara State Honourable Gbenga Oyekunle Power has defected to the African Democratic Congress.

He will also be contesting the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun federal constituency legislative seat under the platform in the 2023 general elections.

Gbenga Power, who was one the active members of the APC in Kwara South made this known at his official declaration today at the Saint MIchael Primary School, Omupo in Ifelodun local government area of the state.

He said he abandoned the ruling party in the state because of the love of his people and how the APC treated him in his efforts to become the party’s during the last primaries held in the state.

He expressed his commitment and readiness to contribute his quota towards ensuring the party’s victory in the coming general elections.

He also urged his team to be alive to their responsibility and ensure they work tirelessly for the success of the party in their various units.

The ADC House of representative candidate after his declaration pledged a donation of 18 motorized boreholes which shall be constructed across various strategic points in his constituency.

Gbenga Power is the founder of the Gbenga Power Foundation and he has been involved in various empowerment programmes in Kwara State for about a decade

Speaking at the event, the representatives of Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun constituency promised to vote based on the antecedent of the aspirant not by religious or party affiliation.

It would be recalled that hundreds of the members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti Local Government council of Kwara State have dumped the party for the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the next year general elections.
