The Kwara State Police Command, today, arraigned the traditional ruler of Samora, Oba Matthew Idowu Ajiboye, who allegedly led hoodlums to attack Oloba of Eju Land, Alhaji Maroof Afolayan Adebayo at his palace in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state.

According to the police report, Oba Ajiboye with five others; Tijani Musibau, Kuburat Sodiku, Afolayan Sukiru, Usman Raufu, Tunde Arinwoye and Saheed Bello who’s at large, attacked Oloba and his family with dangerous weapons.

Police report added that Oloba, with his family members were terribly injured during the attack while valuable items including cash both in local and foreign currencies were cartered away from the palace.

The prosecutor, Seun, informed the court that the matter is still under investigation and he urged the court to grant another day for adjournment.

Magistrate Badmus who presided over the matter, granted the defendants bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira, with two sureties each who must be resident within the court jusridiction before the matter was adjourned to the 24th of next month for hearing.

Counsel to Oloba of Eju land, Barrister Biodun Olojoku, informed our Correspondent, that failure to meet up with the bail conditions, the affected defendant shall be remanded at the correctional center.
