The Kwara central senatorial candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP), Hon. Aiyelabegan Kayode Abdul-Goga has rewarded the best science student of a summer lesson organized by Oke Agodi Youth Community Development Association, Miss Waliyat AbdulGaneey with a Desktop Computer to improve academic engagement and knowledge retention.
The reward which came against the backdrop of the assessment from which the recipient stood tall was intended to motivate the organizers of the lesson who have made the instructional program a routine practice to engage the students during the summer holidays.
Goga, who is an I.T expert with reputation for impeccable exploits in the profession, who stressed the importance of integrating ICT in learning, stated that the gesture was in continuation of his efforts to improve the welfare of people irrespective of their political affiliation.
Speaking during the delivery of the gadgets at Goga Youth Incubation Center, Asadam Road, Ilorin the senatorial candidate enjoined the beneficiary to make judicious and effective use of the items, with a promise to sponsor her on ICT training to sharpen her technological skills and prepare her to impart the knowledge to others in the society.
In his remarks the President of the Association, Hon.Yakub Agodi commended Aiyelabegan for what he described as commendable gesture that is indicative of his responsiveness to the educational needs of the people.
