The Incorporated Trustees of Citizens Awareness Against Corruption and Social Vices Initiatives, has dragged the immediate past Senate President and former Governor of Kwara State, Dr Bukola Saraki and four others to court over an alleged misappropriation Two hundred and fifty two million naira.

The Association, through an originating summons before the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Akure Division, said Saraki nominated Enptech Nigeria Limited to collect the money and build a non-existent five bedroom duplex for him, as part of his retirement package as a former Governor of Kwara State.

The summons revealed that Enptech Nigeria Limited did not construct the building, claiming the property Saraki occupies now is sitting on an expanse of land belonging to Carlisle Property and Investment Limited.

The association also claimed that it is illegal and unconstitutional for Saraki to collect the said money from Kwara State Government, as pension package, instead of five bedroom duplex the law allows.

The association in the summons, supported by 18 pages affidavit, asked the court to order the Executive Governor of Kwara State and the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice to retrieve the money from Saraki.

Our Correspondent reports that Saraki and other defendants, are expected to appear before the National Industrial court within 14 days of court service on them.
