Residents of Iderade Community, of Okefoma Area in Ilorin, Kwara State, have, through the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari CFR, expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and the Honourable Commissioner for Energy, Hajia Mariam Ahmed Hassana for the procurement and installation of one 33-KVA Transformer that was given to ease electricity problem in the area.
The gratitude was contained in a Press statement, issued, signed by the General Chairman of the Iderade Community Development Association, Alhaji Abduljameed Dare, and made available to Sobi FM today.
The Chairman described the intervention of the State Governor who provided the Transformer, as a strategic, and timely one, adding that the residents of the area have been suffering from the irregular power supply, since the former transformer was stolen, some time ago.
He stated that, the provision of the Transformer would boost security, and economic activities in the area, as most of the small-scale businesses, depend on electricity for survival, as it no longer makes any economic sense to run businesses on generators, due to the prohibitive cost of fuels.
The residents, therefore, pray for the Almighty Allah continues to strengthen the Governor and his administration, as he pilots the affairs of the State to peace, progress, and development.
