The Governor of Kwara state Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will on Tuesday 29th of this month present the 2023 Twenty Twenty-three budget proposal to the Kwara State House of Assembly.
This is contained in a letter written to the House by the Governor and read during Thursday’s plenary by the Speaker, Hon Yakubu Danladi-Salihu to his colleagues.
According to the letter, Governor AbdulRazaq said that his intent to present the Appropriation bill is in line with section One-Two-One subsection One of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State Public Procurement amendment bill was read for the third time and passed into law.
The passage was sequel to debate on the need for the amendment by the lawmakers and robust consideration at the Committee of Whole.
The Speaker thereafter directed Clerk of the House Hajia Halima Kperoggi to prepare a clean copy of the bill for the Governor’s assent.
