The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kwara state has described Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the emperor of flatulent rhetorics and the cheerleader of falsehood disseminating team in the state.
The SDP was reacting to a statement attributed to Governor Abdulrazaq during the swearing-in of new Commissioners and Special Adviser on Wednesday where he said his opponents are loud on propaganda.
Reacting to the statement in a release by the Deputy Director of Media and Strategic Communications, SDP Campaign Council, Abdulrasheed Akogun on Thursday, described Governor AbdulRazaq’s comments as diversionary and a tale of falling emperor.
Akogun noted that Kwara State Government has been consistent in sharing folktales and blame games to cover its poor performance, lack of transparency and inability to deliver on many promises of OTOGE movement.
According to the statement “Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led government is a nest of pretenders, with its cheerleader a master of chameleonic postulations.
“They’re masterchef of cooked folktales to cover the administration’s weaknesses including shabby project implementation, poor road maintenance, lack of transparency and accruing loans without tangible projects to show for it etc.
Akogun who served as AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Director of Media for Kwara Central during 2019 governorship election, said the current administration has failed Kwarans by discarding the party’s manifesto used to canvass for votes.
He however noted that the SDP Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal since the beginning of his statewide consultation and interactive parley with critical stakeholders has been reeling out plans for Kwara transformation and explaining workable and unambiguous ways to achieve same.
“Unlike the falling emperor in Government House, SDP governorship candidate in Kwara State, Alhaji Hakeem Lawal within two weeks has held Interactive parleys with critical stakeholders including traditional rulers, Artisans, Community Leaders, Opinion Moulders, Students group, Transporters and others in 10 local government areas and still counting, across the three Senatorial districts to discuss his plan for Kwara Transformation.
“Hakeem Lawal as a good communicator and passionate listener has engaged stakeholders on issues of importance to Kwarans. He unveiled his projection of N10BILLION monthly Internally Generated Revenue for the state during Kwara Tabloid Governorship Debate in October and also gives insight on how to actualize it.
“Our Governorship Candidate during the interactive parleys also discussed his plans to address disparity between in SUBEB/TESCOM salary structure and create jobs/wealth with the empowerment of farmers to embrace modern farming.
“Hakeem Lawal, a 48 year-old International Finance expert is running issues based campaign and will stick to that till he emerge victorious during March 2023 governorship election,” he said.
Akogun therefore advised Governor Abdulrazaq and his team to brace up to explain to Kwarans how the almost N500billion Federal allocation and Internally Generated Revenue has been utilized, without tangible projects on ground to justify.
