A Lagos based association of Kwara South extraction, Orepeju Igbaja Club, under the aegis of Ifelodun Indigenes in Lagos for Gbenga Power, have thrown their weight behind the candidature of the African Democratic Congress, ADC candidate for the Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Federal Constituency, Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle-Power.
Speaking at a town hall meeting held at the Lagos Airport Hotel, National President of Orepeju Igbaja Club, Prince Eyitayo Yahaya expressed concern that since the return of democracy in 1999, Ifelodun got the ticket for only four years, while Offa and Oyun had occupied the position for eight and twelve years respectively.

According to him, if given the mandate to represent Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Federal Constituency, Gbenga Power who has been spearheading welfare of orphans, widows, scholarships for indigent students, drilling of boreholes and distribution of food items throughout the year will break new grounds.

“I can say without fear of contradiction that Gbenga Power will keep his covenant with the electorate because he is humble, accessible and responsible, let us vote for him. Please go and collect your PVC,” he said.
In a remark, the ADC candidate for Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Federal Constituency, Gbenga Oyekunle-Power expressed appreciation to Ifelodun Indigenes in Lagos for Gbenga Power and Orepeju Igbaja Club for organizing the event, promising not to let them down if elected.

“I have said it times without numbers that there is no excuse for public office holders to perform below expectations, because they have been saddled with the responsibility”.
Gbenga Power implored the people of Ifelodun Offa and Oyun to vote for him as the next member to represent the constituency come 2023.
