The family of Alafara in Ilorin has appreciated the Emir of Ilorin and chairman Kwara state council of chiefs Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari on the turbaning of Alhaji Baba Buhari Aminu as the 11th Mogaji Alafara of Ilorin Emirates.
In a statement signed on behalf of the family by the Chief Imam and Magaji Oloworu, in Moro local government area Alhaji Salihu Adio Alafara, the family commended all sundry for their contribution and support during the turbaning of the 11th mogaji Alafara, who is the father of Professor Abdullahi Baba Alafara( Dean Faculty of Physical Sciences Unilorin).
According to him “We appreciated the four Balogun’s in Ilorin,
Balogun Ajikobi, Alanamu, Fulani ati Gambari, the chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Dan-Bornu, Sheikh Abdulmumeen Ayara (National Missioner, Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria); the Imam Imale, Imam Alore, Imam Banni, Imam Babaita, Imam Alalubosa, Imam Oniluru Alore and all other imams in the Ilorin emirate.
Also the Magaji of Ogidi and Muse, the Daudu Banni, and Ipaiye and all other mogaji and Alanguas in the emirate,” it stated.
” We also appreciated Prof Wahab Egbewole, SAN (VC, Unilorin); Dr. A S. Aremu (MD Lower Niger, Ilorin); Dr. K.T. Omopupa (Unilorin Librarian); BarristerToyin Ayegbami.
“Alhaji Abdulraheem Muritala (PA Emir), Seriki Salama, Alhaji Kareem Straighter, Alhaji Modibbo; Alhaji Abdullahi Kutonu, Agbo’ba Ilorin ati opolopo eeyan ti Aaye o gbawa lati daruko,” he added.
