The Elite Network for Sustainable Development, ENetSuD, and its Coordinator Dr. Alagbonsi Abdullateef have jointly dragged the Kwara State Commissioner Communications Bode Towoju and Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor Olayinka Fafoluyi (Solace) before a Kwara State High Court over alleged defamation of character.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Press Secretary of ENETSUD Saeed Tijjani, which alleged the tow aide of the governor of falsely, maliciously, recklessly, and conspicuously defamed ENetSuD and its Coordinator on a live program aired on Kwara TV.
According to the statement “They went further to purport that the organization and its Coordinator are involved in activities that cause political unrest in the state, just like a proscribed group (IPOB) led by one Nnamdi Kanu that is facing trial by the Federal Government related to a treasonable felony.
“They also falsely alleged the organization and its Coordinator of corrupt practices, which has questioned the integrity of the organization that is fighting and campaigning against corruption in the state,” it stated.
In the suit, ENetSuD and its Coordinator are requesting multi-million naira damages, in addition to other reliefs sought from the Court.
The case has been assigned to Justice Gafar of the state High Court and it is scheduled to come up on the 21st November 2022.
