The Senior Special Assistant on Rural Mobilizations to the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has resigned his appointment with immediate effect.
In a resignation letter seen by SOBI FM, Eshinrogunjo Musbau noted that he’s tendering his resignation letter due to personal reasons.
This followed a widely circulated report of a visit paid to Esinrogunjo’s office, by the immediate past President of the Nigerian Senate and two-term Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Bukola Saraki, earlier this month, which has been fuelling the speculation of a looming defection of the grassroots politician.
The defection is going to be a big blow to the Governor’s reelection bid, as he needs every support from every political stakeholder in the state, particularly of the ruling party, following the series of internal wrangling that has rocked the party, over the last three and a half years.
A call was put across to Esinrogunjo, by one of Sobi FM’s editors, to confirm whether it is true or not, but he neither picked up nor returned the call. WhatsApp message was, however, sent to his line, but so far, there has been no response.
It is not clear yet, where the streetsmart politician will be pitching his political tent for now, as the electioneering process gets afoot.
It would also be recalled that the SSA on Poverty Alleviation to the Governor, Honourable Abu Seko from Baruten LGA resigned his appointment 2 months ago.
