Ahead of the Arafat Day tomorrow, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has urged Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to use the period to pray for peace and unity of the country.
The Emir also urged them to embark on the spiritual exercise of the sacred day of Arafat to get more closer to Allah with the fear of God, heart of piety and spirit of brotherhood among themselves in order to have the full reward of this year’s hajj.
The Emir stated this in his goodwill message to all Kwara State contingents in Makkah issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, today in Ilorin.
He stated that Arafat Day is a special day to all Muslim Ummah across the world especially to all pilgrims who have left everything behind including family members in search of Allah’s forgiveness and mercies in far away Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however prayed Allah to grant them sound health and absolute guidance to complete the exercise with total acceptance from God and urged people at home to continue to pray for the safe return of all family members who will come home to celebrate the sallah festival journey mercies to the ancient city of Ilorin.
