The Kwara State family Court has remanded one Muritala Danjuma in Correctional Service Centre for allegedly defiling a ten year old girl.
Police report revealed that the victim’s father, one Abubakar Musa reported the matter at Afon Police station.
Musa, in the report, claimed his apprentice, Danjuma, took his ten year old daughter to a Local Government Primary School at Reke village to have carnal knowledge of her.Investigation conducted at Gender/Child Protection Unit revealed that Danjuma gained access into the school classroom through the window where he reportedly raped the girl.
The prosecutor, Moshood Adebayo, prayed the court to remand Danjuma on the basis that his offences are not ordinarily bailable.
Magistrate O.A Adeniyi, who presided over the panel, acceded to the prosecutor’s demand and ordered Danjuma’s remand in custody
