An Ilorin Magistrate Court, today, ordered the remand of one Pastor Makanjuola Olabisi Lanre in Mandala Correctional facility for allegedly having carnal knowledge of three biological sisters in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
According to the police report, the pastor, preached to the victims to be attending his Church, Revolutionary Insight Church, located at Agba Dam area of Ilorin sometimes in 2018.
The report stated that the pastor invited the eldest sister for prayers after she declined his proposal to be his lover, and the pastor eventually raped her and her two siblings at different times.
When the complainant (victims) discovered that the pastor has been taking sexual advantage of them, they stopped attending the church and the development that made the pastor to threatened that calamity will befall them.
The prosecutor, Matthew Ologbosaye, informed the court of the motion exparte attached the charges, urging the court to remand the pastor pending the outcome of the legal advice.
SOBI FM Judiciary Correspondent, reports that Magistrate Fatimah Salihu, who presided over the matter, ruled that his court lack jurisdiction to take the pastor’s plea while the matter was adjourned to September 14, 2022 for mention.
