The Department of State Service, Kwara State Command, today, arraigned three suspects who allegedly kidnapped one Abubakar Ahmad in Asa Local Government Area of the State.
According to the commission’s report, the suspects; Usman Adamu Ardo, Gidado Mohammed, and Idris Adamu, kidnapped the victim last month and collected one million naira as ransom from his family before he was released.
Upon investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime while the commission has beefed up the security to ensure arrest of other suspects who are at large.
The prosecutor, Nasir Yusuf, informed the court of the motion exparte attached to the charges before the court praying that they should be remanded in the Correctional Service Centre.
Sobi FM’s Judiciary Correspondent reports that Magistrate Muhammed Ibrahim, who sat over the matter, granted prosecutor’s request and adjourned the case to 5th of next month.
