The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has commiserated with the indigenes of Ijagbo community, the Onijagbo-In-Council, and people of Kwara State, over the demise of the Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Salaudeen Fagbemi Adeyeye.
The Emir in his condolence message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, described the late monarch as a devout Muslim whose reign facilitated tremendous growth and development into Ijagbo kingdom.
He noted that the late monarch was favoured and blessed by Allah with old age which is one of the strong factor and indication of forgiveness of shortcomings by Allah (SWT).
He therefore prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into al-janatul firdaos.
In the same vein the Kwara South Senatorial Candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prof Wale Suleiman CON has condole with the people of Ijagbo over the demise of their monarch.
Professor Sulaiman who is the Asiwaju Ewe of Ajase-Ipo Kingdom and Jagunmolu of Oro Kingdom described the death as a deep loss for the people of Ijagbo land and an irreplaceable loss for Kwara South in general.
He urged them to take solace in the fact that the monarch lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation with empirical references and evidences.
He therefore prayed that Almighty Allah grant repose to the departed and give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
