The 8th Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Prof. Ali Ahmad has felicitated the Emir of Ilorin, Mai Martaba Sarki Ilori, Dr Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari CFR on the occasion of his 83rd birthday anniversary.
In a statement personally signed by him and send out to newsmen on Saturday, Ali described the foremost monarch’s reign as peaceful and unprecedented since his ascension on the throne of his forbearers.
He said, “Since his ascension on the throne of his forebearers, our revered royal father, His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, Kwara state most especially the Ilorin Emirate has witnessed remarkable and tremendous development. The ancient city of Ilorin in particular has equally developed in leaps and bounds now flourishing as a cosmopolitan city in Nigeria.
“Today, I felicitate with our father, Mai Martaba Sarki Ilorin on the occasion of his 83rd blessed birthday anniversary. Undoubtedly, the reign of Your Royal Highness has brought peace and tranquillity to the Ilorin Emirate and its environ and has attracted and retained non-indigenes into the city as residents; a situation which demonstrates your level of tolerance, compassion, and wisdom.
“As a detribalized leader, you have been a father to all within your dominance irrespective of the background of ethnicity, little wonder Ilorin has continued to grow from strength to strength and remained a home away from home to many.
He further added, “As we celebrate yet another graceful year of your existence, I pray that Allah bestows our father, the Emir of Ilorin, with sound health and more wisdom to enable his reign to continue to bring more peace, tranquillity, and development to Ilorin Emirate, Kwara state, and Nigeria at large.
