As part of its humanitarian efforts to support the needy, the Golf & Tour Group in Nigeria has donated the sum of N5 million eight hundred and thirty thousand to TÓ ÓMÓ RÉ orphanage home for children with special needs in Ilorin.

The Golf & Tour Group under the leadership of retired Air Vice Marshall Clement Aroriode, consists of 97 golfers, of retired and serving senior military officers alongside distinguished civilians of various reputable callings.

Presenting the donation on behalf of the club Dr. Adewale Akingbade, accompanied by the captain of Ilorin Golf Club Luqman Yahaya, said the club had identified the orphanage during their tournament in Ilorin back in August and a decision was made to support its activities.

He used the occasion to call on other affluent individuals in the society to follow their lead and provide support for less privileged homes saying such contributions could significantly brighten the future for the orphans, particularly those living with disabilities.

The proprietor of the orphanage, Pastor Samuel Ajayi, expressed profound gratitude for the club’s contribution.

He prayed for divine upliftment and blessings for the members of the Golf & Tour Group in recognition of their generous act.

By fulfilling its philanthropic commitments, the Golf & Tour Group continues to set a commendable example, encouraging more individuals and groups to contribute to humanitarian causes and support the less privileged in society.
