Governor of Kwara State Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, today presented a Budget estimates of 189.4 billion naira for the 2023 Fiscal Year before the State House of Assembly.
The budget tagged Budget of Economic Expansion and Sustainable Development contains a recurrent expenditure of 49.1 Percent and Capital component of 50.9 Percent.
The Governor said the key assumptions are oil price of Seventy dollars per barrel, daily oil production estimate of One Point Six Nine million barrel per day, and exchange rate of Four Hundred and Thirty-Five naira.
He said the budget places more emphases on continuous infrastructural development, completion of ongoing road projects, workers’ welfare among others.
In his remark, the house Speaker, Hon Yakubu Danladi-Salihu enumerated the achievements of Governor Abdulrazaq in critical sectors and assured the executive arm of good working relationship.
The speaker thereafter referred the Appropriation Bill to the House Committee on Rules and Business to slate the bill for second reading
