The Chairperson of Moro Local Government Area, Hajiya Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo, has urged the newly elected councillors to be effective representatives of their respective wards and ensure the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots level.
Hajiya Mariam made the call today while inaugurating the Moro Local Government Legislative Council at the LGA headquarters in Bode Saadu.
She emphasized the importance of immediate action, stating, “It has become necessary for us to start work and complement the good efforts of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq by delivering democratic benefits to our people.”
Reiterating Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq advise while inaugurating the chairmen earlier in the day saying they need to be creative, explore areas of cooperation, and complement themselves for bigger accomplishments.
The chairperson also commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his exemplary leadership, which she noted has fostered widespread trust in the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kwara State.
Hajiya Mariam further expressed her gratitude to the party leaders and members who turned out in large numbers to support the APC in the local government elections.
She assured the people of Moro that she would justify the confidence reposed in her by delivering on her campaign promises and serving the community diligently.
