AbdulGafar spoke on Monday during the meeting of the members of the board of trustees of the mosque and stakeholders in Ilorin, Kwara State yesterday.

Earlier in his remarks the chairman, Board of Trustees of the mosque, Justice Alfa Belgore, disclosed that,” the mosque is not receiving any subvention from any government apart from the five local governments constituting Ilorin Emirate.”

Describing the mosque as the best of its kind in Africa South of the Sahara, Belgore expressed the hope that, ” the maintenance of the edifices will not surfer degradation”.Belgore added:”
