An Ilorin Magistrate court has remanded the village head of Bacita, Mohammed Shaba, in the Correctional Service Centre for allegedly orchestrating the death of a staff of Bacita Sugar company Auqustine Ezechi.
According to the police report, Shaba sent his son, Muhammed and brother, Adamu, to obstruct and disallow the company staffers from working on the Bacita Sugar company farmland.
Police report also disclosed that the General Manager of the company reported at Bacita police station that his project manager, Faruq Tijani informed him that they were attacked by some group of people led by one Adams.
Policemen from Bacita Police station who stormed the scene of the event immediately, found the deceased (Ezechi) on the road lying down in a pool of his blood unconscious with injuries on his body.
He was rushed to the Hospital in the community where a medical doctor confirmed him dead.
Sobi FM’s Judiciary Correspondent Kayode Adeoti reports that Magistrate Muhammed Adams who presided over the matter, ordered the defendant to be kept in custody till 4th of next month.
