The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the Turaki of Ilorin and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, as the winner of the 2023 Kwara Senatorial District.
The INEC Collation and Returning officer for Kwara Central Senatorial District, Professor Abdullahi Saliu Abubakar, who announced the results declared the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, who polled a total of one hundred and nine thousand, eight hundred and twenty-three (109,823) to defeat his closest rival from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who polled Sixtynine thousand two hundred and two (69,202).
Dr. Ridwan Apaokagi of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, who came third with a total of thirteen thousand one hundred and ninety-three (13, 193) votes.
