The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted nationwide on Thursday, April 10.
The examination, which is optional for candidates preparing for the UTME, serves as a platform to test the Board’s innovations and help candidates familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.
In a statement by the Director of Public Affairs of the Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB said candidates can now check their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used to register for the examination.
The statement said out of 200,115 candidates who initially indicated interest in taking part in the mock exam, 200,113 were registered.
However, 73,844 candidates were absent on the examination day, while 88 others failed the biometric verification process.
This left 126,181 candidates who successfully sat for the examination.
Of this number, 115,735 results have been released, while the remaining 10,446 are still undergoing processing and will be released in due course.
JAMB acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the mock exam, attributing the disruptions to the new features being tested ahead of the main UTME.
“These challenges were not unexpected, as the Board is trialing several new measures aimed at improving the conduct of the examination,” the statement read.
Dr. Benjamin expressed JAMB’s appreciation to candidates and parents for their understanding and support, assuring that the Board remains committed to delivering a seamless and efficient examination process.
He noted that over the years, the mock UTME has played a crucial role in identifying lapses, fine-tuning innovations, and ensuring candidates are well-prepared for the actual examination.
JAMB urged all candidates to remain focused and continue preparing for the forthcoming UTME with the experience gained from the mock test.
