The Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the suspension of all outdoor campaign activities for a week in honour of the leader of the state House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin who died early Monday.
The chairman of the party in the state, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, announced the suspension of the campaign activities in a statement in Ilorin on Monday.
The Party Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, therefore, called on all our party organs, candidates and support groups to put a hold on all outdoor campaign rallies and activities for the next seven days until after the Fidau prayer.
According to him, “the action is to honour one of the party leaders and brother in the state, Late Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin and pray Allah will grant him Al-Jannah Firdous”.
The late House leader representing Ilorin Central state constituency in the house of assembly is also the APC candidate for the same constituency in the March 11 elections died in the early hours of Monday aged 57, after a brief illness.
He has since being buried according to Islamic injunctions at his family house in Ilorin.
