The Kwara State Government through the Governing Council of the College has approved the appointment of Hajia Yusuf Salimat Iyabo as Provost of the Kwara State College of Nursing and Midwifery Ilorin.
According to a statement from the press secretary Ministry of tertiary education Mansurat Amuda-Kannike, said the appointment followed the interview and other due processes carried out for the position earlier in the week.
Hajiya Salimat Yusuf is a registered Nurse Educator with Versed experience and has risen through the ranks in the Nursing profession, she is the Director of Midwifery at the State College of Nursing and Midwifery Ilorin before her Appointment as Substantive Provost.
The State Commissioner for Tertiary Education Dr. Alabi Afees Abolore disclosed the approval for the position during a management meeting this morning.
Dr. Abolore while Congratulating the new provost encouraged her to bring her wealth of experience in the Nursing Profession to bear in the task ahead.
He mentioned that the appointment was rated based on merit and charged the newly appointed officers to justify the confidence reposed in them, noting that the State Government under the leadership of Mallam AbduRahman Abdulrazaq is committed to enhanced Service delivery across the various Tertiary Institutions in the State.
