The Nigeria Union of Teachers ( NUT ), kwara State Wing, has joined other prominent organizations to rejoice with the governor of kwara State on his 63rd birthday anniversary, praying God to grant him long life, good health and prosperity.

A statement by the state chairman of the union Comrade Oyewo Muhammad Bashir, congratulated the governor on attaining the new age and landmark achievements, especially what he has been able to achieve in the educational sector of the state, as well as ensuring the welfare of teachers.

” It’s therefore very, very necessary for us to join other well-meaning bodies and individuals in celebrating the performing governor of kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,” he said.

The NUT Chairman who lauded the governor’s unprecedented transformation of the state, specifically stressed the wonderful turnaround witnessed by the states’ educational sector under his critical watch.

He observed that his government has been much committed to renovation and building of new schools across the length and breath of the entire state, as well as provision of instructional materials which enhances teaching and learning condition.

Comrade Bashir also commended Mallam AbdulRazaq for ensuring the welfare of teachers through regular promotion, capacity building programmes and payment of salary as at when due.

He further appreciated the governor for his recent plan to build a housing estate for teachers in the state and prayed God to give him the strength and capacity to realize the dream by implementing the housing scheme for the already anxious teachers.

While wishing the governor many wonderful years, the union besieged the Almighty to grant him long life for him to reap the fruit of his labour.

” What he has been able to do for the progress of kwara State is unprecedented, so we need to celebrate and pray for him.

” And that is the reason we are joining other well wishers to say happy birthday Mr. Governor. We wish you long life, good health and prosperity “, the NUT boss said.
