The late Controller of Corrections, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, has been laid to rest in his hometown, Ipee, in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The late Controller passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, and was committed to mother earth on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The Kwara State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service organized a befitting burial in his honor.
The official interment featured a parade and a 21-gun salute by officers and men of the service, paying tribute to the late Controller’s contributions.
The solemn event reflected the high regard in which Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun was held and underscored his significant impact on the Nigerian Correctional Service and the community at large.
Dignitaries from across the country attended the burial ceremony, including the representative of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, the Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Olayiwola Oyebode Ojo, and a representative of the Emir of Ilorin.
